Caracol has developed an integrated and flexible Additive Manufacturing cluster for production of large-scale advanced components.  This AM robotic system was conceived to manufacture parts on-demand, in delocalized production sites where the parts are needed, with a closed-circuit logic. 

RO•LS•AM allows to produce components with a wide range of techno polymers and composite materials (both virgin and recycled) through a direct-printing solution that works with pellets and shreds. This characteristic makes the system ideal for the production of several medium to large-scale parts: structural elements, metal replacement, tooling (e.g., jigs for positioning, drilling, and cutting, molds, assembly rigs, beams), prototypes, substitute parts temporarily or permanently, and many applications and components. 

Caracol has developed the system as an integrated proprietary hardware and software turnkey solution that can be customized to different clients’ application requisites. This was possible thanks to a modular approach to the development and manufacturing of the cluster that allows every element to be flexibly adapted to different end-user needs.
