Facilitating knowledge exchange between UK users of Additive Manufacturing

The TCT UK User Group Meeting is an annual event bringing together UK users of additive manufacturing technologies across a breadth of industries for a deep dive into the roadblocks hampering AM adoption and optimisation.

The 2025 event took place on the 3rd June at the NEC, Birmingham, and was facilitated by highly regarded commentator, presenter and long-time TCT Advisor, Todd Grimm.  The day was attended by eighty users from across UK industry including participants from GKN aerospace, NHS, AWE, Sartorius, Parker Meggitt, MOD, Nestle, Sellafield, JLR, Cookson-Gold, Thales, Siemens, BAE systems, Rolls Royce and many more.

The day provided a range of opportunities for debate and knowledge exchange, with the aim for participants to share experiences and problems, whilst beginning to find routes to possible solutions. Specific deep dives were taken into polymer and metal technologies, as well as the eco-systems that support the use of AM such as supply chain, repeatability, skills and sustainability, with attendees discussing both individual problems and the broader issues additive faces.

A full and detailed report from the day highlighting the key findings is now available to download for free.

Industry stakeholders and enthusiasts are encouraged to explore the detailed findings and contribute to the ongoing dialogue about the future of additive manufacturing.
