Preserving National Heritage Through Innovation: Additive Manufacturing for Ceremonial Guns

This presentation summarises key engineering and commercial Lessons from Experience (LfE) gathered during Project Tampa Spiral 3A and 3B. It highlights the technical challenges with manufacture, build plate design and equivalency testing, as well as commercial lessons around onboarding, digital infrastructure and certification - particularly with US suppliers. The session will also outline future recommendations, such as optimising the OQ build plate layout for multi-laser configurations. These insights aim to improve the efficiency and capability of future Additive Manufacturing projects.
